Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has admitted to hugging Arsene Wenger after the Frenchman told him Arsenal would mount a serious title challenge back in November.

Corbyn, who is a lifelong fan of the Gunners, signed a parliamentary motion stating Arsenal are 'the best football club in the world at the moment' in 2004.

And, with the club's Emirates Stadium home located within his Islington North constituency, the 66-year-old is keen for the north London club to achieve more success this season.
